- A Creamy Eyeshadow. The most common way of using your pigment powder is as an intense and creamy eyeshadow.
- A Coloured Mascara.

What can I mix with pigment powder paint?
Pigments simply need to be mixed with water to make a paste before adding to paints or plasters. We recommend to use soft water like purified water.
Can I use Pearl Ex powdered pigments in soap?
Mix Pearl Ex with any clear medium to use over any surface. Knead dry Pearl Ex powder into polymer clay to color it. Pearl Ex can be mixed into glycerin soaps in soapmaking and wax for candlemaking. Pearl Ex can be mixed into a medium and airbrushed.
Can I use Pearl Ex powdered pigments in resin?
Because Pearl Ex is a dry pigment, you can add it to the resin to color it.
How do you dissolve pigment powder?
Powder pigments can be mixed directly into waterbased paint. To aid the pigments in dissolving uniformly you can place them in a cup and add teaspoons of water until you get a runny consistency. Pour the contents of the cup into the can of paint whilst stirring it.
What is pressed pigment used for?
Pressed pigments are just as they sound, they are actual pigments pressed into a pan. Since there are not often extra ingredients added to the pigments, they tend to be used in colours that are extremely vibrant and rather than providing a “wash” of colour, they provide full pigmentation.
How do you use pigment powder on models?
Pigments can be applied in their dry form, directly by brush on the model, since they have excellent adherence; they can also be fixed in place with Thinner when used to portray dry mud or accumulated dust. With Pigment Binder, the pigments can be used to create volumes, such as accumulated dirt and mud.
How do you use Pearl Ex powdered pigments with epoxy?
The second way to use Pearl Ex with resin is to mix the powder into it.
- Step 1: Add powder to the resin.
- Step 2: Mix in the powder.
- Step 3: Add the colored resin to the mold.
- Step 4: Remove bubbles.
- Step 5: Set aside to cure.
- Step 6: Demold.
- Step 7: Finish the edges.
- Step 8: Use your resin charms.
Is Pearl Ex the same as mica powder?
Pearl Ex is a popular brand of pure mica powder. (See a color chart of all Pearl Ex colors here.) While mica powders do often have color, they’re not optimal for coloring things because their main purpose is to create sparkle or shine.
Can Pearl Ex be used in candles?
Pearl-Ex is very commonly used to make candles. These pigments can release carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide if burned (albeit in small amount where candles are concerned). To make the candles as safe as possible, use an embedding mold set and use the Pearl-Ex in the outer layer.
