What happened to Bestival?

Is Camp Bestival any good?

Camp Bestival held at Lulworth Castle. A very family orientated festival. I went with four teenagers and although it will probably be our last time, I highly recommend it. The free tractor ride from gates to car park was great at the end of the festival.

The campsite is a fantastic place to relax any time of day. Given the number of families the festival attracts, it didn’t take long for our children to make friends with ‘local’ children. This was a key element in breaking up the day. The size and scale of Camp Bestival is something else.

In general campsites, you can set up camp in anywhere you like, but you are not allowed to camp in any of the festival arenas. There is small non-family campsite which you are welcome to camp in if you don’t have any children/family with you.

Is Camp Bestival worth the money?

If you are not used to camping, or want to take the stress out of it with young children in tow a pre- pitched option such as Pitch Village is definitely worth the money (if your budget allows it!).

Does Camp Bestival have electric hook up?

Also, please note that there will be no electricity or water hook-ups provided, however, there are waste disposal units for campervan/caravan toilets. It’s also not possible to leave and re-enter the festival with a campervan or motorhome.
